What it does

Built for the calls
that matter.

Start a recording from the meeting tab. Branix Capture handles the rest, from the audio to your transcript.

  • The whole conversation

Records the meeting tab and your microphone together, so both sides are in the recording. Works with calls that run in a Chrome tab, such as Google Meet and the browser versions of Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

  • Straight to your account

Signed in with your Branix account, every recording lands in your library, filed under your team. No files to download, rename or upload.

  • Transcription starts on its own

Press Stop and Branix takes it from there: upload, transcript, and an email when it is ready to read.

  • Nothing gets lost

Audio is saved on your computer every few seconds. If the connection drops or the browser closes, everything recorded so far is kept and uploads when you are back.

  • Long meetings fit

Record up to five hours in one go. You get a warning ten minutes before the limit, so a long workshop never ends by surprise.

  • Always visible

A red badge on the toolbar and a Recording banner on the meeting page show while it is recording. It only records after you press Record.

  • In-person meetings too

Meeting face to face? Switch to Mic only and your laptop becomes the recorder.

  • Named and dated for you

Recordings are titled with the meeting type, date and time, and dated from when the meeting started, so your library stays easy to scan.

Chrome may remind you about developer-mode extensions when it starts. That is expected for extensions added this way, and you can keep using Branix Capture as normal.

Before you start

What you need.

  • Google Chrome on a computer running Windows, macOS or Linux.
  • A Branix account from your organisation.
  • Permission to use your microphone. Chrome asks the first time you record.

Record responsibly

Only record conversations you have permission to record.

Let the other participants know before you start. The Recording banner is shown on your screen only, so tell people yourself.

How Branix handles recordings

Questions about
the extension.

Does Branix join my meetings?

No. There is no meeting bot. You start and stop every recording yourself from the extension.

What exactly does it record?

The sound of the meeting tab and your microphone. It does not record your screen or anyone’s video.

Does it work with the Zoom or Teams desktop apps?

It records calls that run in a Chrome tab. Join from your browser instead of the desktop app, or upload the recording to Branix afterwards.

What happens if my internet drops during a call?

Recording carries on and the audio is kept on your computer. It uploads by itself when you are back online.

Which languages are transcribed?

The current pilot provides Arabic transcription. Please confirm English availability with us before onboarding.

Where do my recordings go?

To your organisation’s Branix workspace, visible to you and to the people your organisation’s roles allow. Our Privacy Policy explains the details.

Your next call is a click away.

Record it once.
Keep it for good.
